I was going to write something like this after elements but I never got to it. So here it goes.

TO RHYTHMOLOGY
Thanks for yet another dope competition. I always tell people this is my favorite competition cause there’s no back stage or restrictions for the dancers to watch the show. It creates for an awesome environment and really helps the crowd feel more alive. To everyone who took the time to organize this, awesome job, and keep it going!

TO RDT
RIco, it’s so sad to see you go. You’ve been such a big part of this community and I hope the best for you in Cali. Alice, you’re so dope! I hope the best for you in whatever you do after RDT. For those that are staying with the team, I honestly can’t wait to see what you guys got in store for the community. RDT will forever have the utmost respect in my book for your raw ass love for dance. Ya’ll can literally freestyle for days, kudos homies haha. But really awesome job at defining rhythm, good to see some new faces and best of luck to ya’ll

TO INSPIRED
Chux, I’m hearing that last night was your last performance? I had no idea, and I just want to say good luck to you homie, you’ve been huge to this community as a dancer and director. Inspired, you were frikkin blessed to have a director as talented and passionate as Chux, and I know you guys will only continue to grow. I feel like I see new faces every single time you guys hit the stage. It’s really great to see you guys growing. Chris, maaaaaaaaaan you’re getting good, don’t stop homie! Great job last night, see ya’ll soon.

TO THE SOCIETY
Easily the most underrated team on the east coast I swear. The choreo you guys consistently put on stage is unbelievable. Mark Choi, Salud, Joe lee, Brian Ng, Michelle Yi, Rosey B, you guys are so so good and I really want to see you guys win something because you truly truly deserve it. One of my favorite teams out west is The Company, and its unreal how much you guys remind me of them. Keep doing what you guys do, cause you guys are someone to watch out for. For those that haven’t really watched these guys, get on youtube now and check em out, you definitely won’t be disappointed. Awesome job last night, can’t wait for your next set.

TO UFP
There’s too much I can say about you guys. You guys are the best Jersey has to offer no doubt. Each and every one of you are huge inspirations to not only PD, but the whole community. Katrina, you’re my favorite female choreographer. I’m not saying just in Jersey, or on the east coast, just straight up my favorite female choreographer. I really wanted to tell you that last night while we were on stage for the award ceremony but believe it or not, I’m still a little intimidated by you haha. UFP wouldn’t be the same without you, and I hope they know how lucky they are to have you. Bo, I have no words to describe how inspirational you are to me. As a director, I can only hope to have the same impact on PD as you have with UFP. You’ve always felt like a big brother to me in the dance world and I still have so much to learn to even get close to where you are. You’re awesome, I mean that. Finally, my brother Joseph. Seeing you on stage at your absolute best is one of the greatest things to watch. When you came on for your (and Charmaine’s) piece, you had the most stage presence I’ve ever seen you have. Freakin murdered it dude, and I meant it when I said that that’s your best piece yet. Keep doing you homie, you got good things ahead of you. And to the rest of UFP, amazing job last night. Guppy, Charmaine, Victor, and anyone else who contributed to the set, thank you for such an amazing showcase of choreography. I always look forward to your sets and you never fail to disappoint, thank you. Congrats on first, and we’ll see you guys in Philly.

TO MIRACLE PROJECT
Speechless. Honestly speechless. The first day I heard you guys were coming back I was excited. I’m such a huge fan and I’m so happy to be able to brag about you girls haha. Katrina! I told you at that Applebees after practice one day that you guys are gonna be unstoppable, and I meant it! It sucks that I’m not as close to all of you girls, and I hope to be one day, but I mean it when I say that you guys are too good. I’m extremely stoked for what you girls are going to do next, and just know that you have my support as well as PD’s whenever you may need it. I could talk about every single one of you and tell you how good you are, but I’ll talk more about one particular member. Obvy Lauren lol. To my girlfriend, I already told you you did an awesome job. You already know how proud of you I am. What I will write here is a thank you to Miracle Project. I always tell Lauren that she’s stone cold, never showing emotion whether it be fear or happiness or sadness. She’s got that stern look that makes it seem like she’s mad all the time. But then I saw her last night. I love seeing her as happy as she was last night. Performing with you girls brings out the absolute best in her and I really want to thank you for that. I’ll never forget her face when she was running up with you girls to get your trophy. It makes me so happy to see her dancing again and I hope she never stops. Good job babe, I’ll never be able to explain to you how happy you made me last night. Thank you for giving me yet another thing to dance for. You inspire me more than you know. Sophisticated Lady is officially dedicated to you. Great job MP, I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

TO THE MOOKS
We killed it last night, as per usual. One of our better performances after Bing and whatnot haha. Always mad fun performing with these guys. Lloyd, you’re the best homie. You may be ridiculous boring now but I still super appreciate everything you do for the team. I hope that your choice to put me on the team was a good one, and I’ll try to be of more help in the future. To the rest of you children, thanks for the memories. I’m gonna get so much shit for what I’m about to write lol but I don’t care. I’m so intimidated by all of you. You all literally scare me lol. It’s not because you guys are more fit than me, or that you guys are better than me, but just cause you guys are all so tight. I won’t lie, I really wish that I knew you all back in your jrs days because I can tell that you guys made some memories back then that you’ll take to your grave. It sucks that I won’t be as close to you guys as I’d like to be, but I’ll try haha. You guys are a group of dudes that I honestly really like hanging out with and I mean that. Thanks for everything so far, it’s seriously been one hell of a trip. I want to keep going though, to wherever it is we’re going cause you all know what I mean when I say that there’s something really big in store for us, we just don’t know what that is yet. The Mooks have opened up so many doors for me and I thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this. And I’m done, If I say anymore I’m gonna have a terrible practice Thursday haha.

TO MY FAMILY
Project D. Oh Project D. You guys maaaaaaan you guys lol. I’m honored and so blessed to have the honor of directing a group of people like you all. I’m sure it’s obvious to say I was so scared to direct. Never was there a day where I felt completely comfortable as your director. I’ve always felt like I could do more, and I mean it when I say I tried to give it my all. I only hope you guys are happy with what me and the other directors gave to you guys. I promise to continue to be the best director, dancer, and friend to you guys that I can be. The set we put on stage last night is something that I am truly proud of. Each and every one of you really gave it your all, and I truly thank you for that. Never forget where you came from, and never forget those who put this all in motion for us. Bernie, Jeff, Steve, thank you guys for everything. It’s something that we say all the time but there’s never enough that could be said to help you fully realize how thankful I am to have met you guys. To my fellow directors, WATTUP OUR FIRST TROPHY YEYEYEYEYEYEYEYE. lol. But really, I hate you guys and I don’t want to ever make a new set with you ever again. hahahaha juuuuust kidding. Hey, let’s face it, it’s been super stressful getting to where we are now. But I hope you’ll join me in saying that it was so fuckin worth it. I love you guys, I would be half the person I am today had I not met all of you. Marie, tita Elyza, thanks so much for being the ate of the team. We really need you, believe it or not. Ian, the voice of logic and reason haha. You’re made dope dude I know you know that, and thank you for turning me on to PD way back when haha. AJ, eeeeeeeeeeeeedge lol. The team and especially I know how much work you put in for the team. You don’t need to say nothing, your sweaty ass shirts after practice speaks for itself, and I know the team loves your “walk the talk” leadership style. JohnA, who for some freakin reason is just John now and it super freakin confuses me lol. You’re my number two 2 man! You stay seeing what I miss, and I just want to say thank you for being there for me when I needed you, you’re truly too dope to explain. And PD, man do we got things in store for us. Bong, thanks for your compliments last night man, coming from you it means the world. 1. Letting themselves get out of shape.

If you’ve ever watched The Biggest Loser and questioned the contestants desire, based on their struggles — you’ve never been out of shape. You’ll find that the rumors are true, and your metabolism moves slower than a snail at the DMV as you get older. If you continue washing down brownies with Mountain Dew and discounting the value of working out, you will pay. I assure you that once you’ve officially gotten out of shape, it’s so much harder to get fit. The mere sight of a treadmill will make you want to run anywhere but on it.

2. Spending substantial amounts of money on farfetched concepts.

Buying several lottery tickets, playing the slot machines and joining pyramid schemes are all poor decisions, with slim chances of making profit. (Heads Up: 99% of well-dressed individuals who approach you with a business proposal/job opportunity just want you to help them build an unprofitable pyramid.)

3. Staying involved in destructive relationships.

In middle school and high school, everyone dated everyone — but your 20s should see stricter standards and principles enforced. There’s no sense in being with someone whom you can’t picture yourself happily with in the foreseeable future. Don’t get me wrong, fixing damaged relationships is great; but trying to glue back a thousand broken pieces while getting cut in the process is unhealthy.

4. Cohabitating with a lover whom you’re not married to.

Often couples convince themselves that moving in together is a splendid idea, when that’s not always the case. Sure, some live happily together, but it’s not for everyone. Be certain that you’re not rushing into things. It’s not as simple as sharing a shower, owning his and hers robes, and having sex frequently. Many characteristics are revealed, and obnoxious habits are exposed. Living with a significant other too early can be detrimental to the entire relationship.

5. Accepting and embracing drama.

When you graduate high school, the cattiness and immaturity proceed to follow some. We have to refuse to be a part of any high school level shenanigans. Hearsay, gossip, he-said-she-said — all those bastards got a diploma and followed some miserable souls well into their 20s. It’s a matter of rejecting the slightest hint of drama, and wisely refusing to speak, act, or feel anything based off of it.

6. Settling for a subpar job that makes you miserable.

Hard work and dedication, no matter who the employer, are admirable traits. If you find yourself performing unhappily at a place, be certain that you’re just doing so as a means to get by until you can pursue your personal goals. Every opportunity to take a shot at your dream career should be greeted passionately by you. Too often people forget that the 20s are an ideal decade for trial and error. Test things out, then fail or succeed.

7. Putting excessive amounts of value in attention received on social networks.

Gauging your popularity and significance by the amount of likes your Facebook statuses got. Feeling physically unappealing because your Instagram photo — which you spent an absurd amount of time selecting an effect for — didn’t get a satisfying amount of compliments and responses.

8. Being a pushover.

Little things like accepting the wrong drink at Starbucks, or pretending not to notice someone cutting you in line aren’t crucial. The issue is the snowball effect that follows. People see that you’ll give an inch, so they’ll greedily take a mile. In today’s world, it’s hard to be nice without somebody trying to take advantage of your kindness. Establish firm limitations that people know better than to cross. It might take temporary sternness, but in the long run it’ll pay off.

9. Taking pride in being widely considered a b-tch or a d-ck.

Why being loathed (for good reason) has become a fad is beyond me, but it’s definitely a thing. It’s fantastic to be who you are, but to consciously treat people sh-tty and then brag about having “haters” is just dumb. Nobody is invincible — so continuously pouring gasoline, lighting matches and burning bridges will come back to haunt anyone eventually.

10. Being self-destructive.

Continuing personally damaging conduct, with no intentions of stopping can have a lasting effect on your 20s. Getting arrested, pissing off friends, being irresponsible with finances — these are just a few of the seemingly infinite ways to ruin one’s self.

11. Passing on spontaneous adventures and the opportunity to experience new things.

If friends are taking an impromptu trip to a nearby city, pack a small bag and roll with. These little things are what make the decade. Beyond the inside jokes and perspective on classic stories that you’ll miss out on, you’ll lack good times. If serious responsibility isn’t withholding your presence, then nothing else should be. Attend gatherings, give unfamiliarity a chance and build a résumé of awesome memories.

12. Remaining bitter.

If you’re still angry with the ex from over five years ago, or badmouthing the company that didn’t hire you — do yourself and those around you a favor by stopping. The anger is unhealthy to hold on to, plus it makes you a misery to be around. Bitter passes are typically handed out to the freshly dumped, or recently rejected — but in time you must forgive or forget. Whichever you choose; be firm on it.

13. Making yourself difficult to love.

By being shutdown and over-complicated, you create a seemingly impenetrable shirt, doused in cupid repellant. We all struggle in our own unique, disastrous ways — the key is to fix them. Making yourself available, approachable and open/honest will work wonders for your love life.

14. Being a pessimistic, opinionated hater.

Yeah, that’s something we all want to be around in our spare time. Every movie out isn’t terrible, every song isn’t garbage. This personality type is in for a reality check when eventually nobody wants anything to do with ‘em.

15. Spending large chunks of time dreaming about a utopic, perfect world in which everything is just peachy.

Having high hopes and aspirations for the future is a great thing, it’s just important to draw the line of frequency somewhere. Picturing a fantasy land in which you own nice things, are surrounded by beautiful people and have Uncle Scrooge sized piles of money isn’t going to bring those things to fruition. The dreaming is the easy part, it’s the living that requires some heavy lifting and effort.

It really hit me last night, that you’re leaving. I still can’t believe it, it’ll be the hardest thing for me to fully accept. I had so much to say to you last night, but I honestly couldn’t even look at you. Stupid, but I didn’t want you to see me cry haha.

Jaron the Prestige Castro hahahaha. My brother, my best friend, my dark side, my nigga. I’m writing this on tumblr cause like I said I had so much to say to you that I simply couldn’t say in person, so yeah secretly I’m hoping you see this. J you already know we’ve been niggas since forever. Back to your fat boy days when we used to walk around Paramus, when I lost your glasses, when I made fun of you for doing your homework at lunch, all that shit. I remember when you called me stupid by telling Matt Orefice to whisper it to me on the bus lol. We used to chill so hard by my pool just jammin to Confessions, you let me have Suit and you kept Sweat haha (Nelly’s albums). Your basement where we witnessed Toby straight up poop on the carpet, connected like 5 beds so we can Greco on it, and played that Star Wars game that for some reason was so good for just that night haha. I remember our little phase we had with Kevin, and how we were trying to main him. I remember telling you how much I wanted Takashi’s and then your bitch ass came into school with them one day. I can remember every girl you got with, probably how you got with em and why hahaha. I’ll never forget the day you first smoked, and how I was mad disappointed lol. I remember swooning girls at YFC meetings by serenading them on that wall. So many memories through the years that I can seriously go on forever. I’m getting all nostalgic cause if I had known that graduating meant separating, then I would’ve definitely prepared more for this.

All I could think about on the drive home last night was how things will never be the same. I can’t just hit you up to chill anymore, I can’t walk to you house to wake you up, I can’t ask you to go to some party with me, I can’t sleepover when I’m too drunk, I can’t use you as an excuse for why my car smells like cigarettes, all that. I’m so used to being able to hit you up whenever I want, and I know your either working sleeping or at home, any of which I could easily pull through and chill with you real fast. I hate that you live so close to me cause you already know I pass your house every time I’m getting on parkway, and it’s gonna be an eerie feeling knowing that you won’t be there anymore. Yeah Yeah you’re coming back in December for like a month but like I said, it’ll be different. You’ll come back, tell us about your trip, we’ll tell you what we’ve been doing, then it’ll be another “see you soon.” Shit wasn’t suppose to be like that. We were all suppose to dorm together, graduate same time, open up TBP Bar & Grill, and be mad successful. You weren’t suppose to move to the Philippines. But you are, and I hate thinking about it.

For those who don’t know, Jaron is the kid I pretty much grew up with. The default crew has always been me Jaron Brian Julius. But it’s undeniable that me and Jaron have always been mad close. He was always my dark side, when he wanted to fight I wanted to chill, when he wanted to smoke I wanted to sleep, when he wanted to hit a strip club, I wanted to go to Applebees. Jaron taught me how to just be chill haha, whenever I was stressing he was the best person to just be like, “nah son chill” and I can’t even begin to tell you how many of those I’ve gotten. We had this thing happen to us in the past, over a girl, and it was so easy for me to drop him haha. My cousins, my brother, everybody was like either fight him or stop talking to him, but instead I forgave him. It was the best decision of my life, cause I wouldn’t missed out on so much. Because of that, and just that, I learned how to be a forgiving person cause I witnessed the benefits of being able to say sorry. You get a best friend out of it, someone you can call your brother, someone you know that when you’re old and have kids, you’re gonna be taking them to Uncle Jaron’s house. Jaron has taught me so much, I doubt he realizes it.

Since this is getting kind of long, I’ll start to wrap it up. Things will be different without you J, and everybody’s gonna miss you for sure. But I’ll miss you a lot dude, you know I will. Like I said in the beginning, you’re nothing short of a brother to me, and I hate to see you go, but I know it’s what you gotta do. Remember what I said last night, don’t wear too much supreme or undftd, they’ll jump your ass, focus on school and don’t get with too many bitches, don’t drink the water that shit’ll get you sick, and lastly, don’t for a second forget your boys back home, cause you know we’ll all be waiting for you to get back.
